Chat Rules
♔ Keep it (pretty) clean. The C-box has a rating of PG13. This is not at all up for debate and will be strictly moderated. Whilst yes this is a more mature board, and roleplay wise does incorporate adult themes, this does not mean it will be accepted in the c-box.
♔ Private things should be kept private. Following the prior point, there is to be no smut of any kind, which includes the discussion of, and the actual posting of such material. This also extends to discussing inappropriate sites. Though we are a mature lot here, it does not necessarily mean that underaged people do not come across our board.
♔ Whatcha gonna do with all that bait? Unless you're legitimately going fishing then refrain from doing this. Trying to bait other members into an argument is rude, and not to mention immature.
♔ In character chatting in an out of character box. When in character (IC) chatting (chatting in the persona of your character), out of character (OOC) talk will be in brackets. This is just to avoid confusion as to who is IC when. For those of you who do not know, OOC means you are acting as yourself in real life, so refrain from using the verbal tics your character has (ie. China, Romano, Latvia… etc.)
♔ Making emoticons. Don't spam the C-box with only emoticons. Whilst you're free to use them in messages please don't send a chain of them and JUST them. Let’s face it, seeing that many yellow things laughing at you is just plain disconcerting and gets a bit annoying after a while.
♔ Accessing the waters before diving in. If people are having a serious conversation (yes this does happen on occasion) then don't just butt in with random content that's irrelevant. Yes, you're free to participate, but just bare in mind that people will not appreciate you throwing random gibberish in when they're having a chat.
♔ Try to keep the heat low. Avoid controversial topics on a personal level (for example politics and religion). Whilst they do make for good debates they also inevitably end up personal, even when not intended to be.
