Leaving behind all that happened in the last century, many look towards the future with an optimistic hope that man can only continue to advance as a civilization. Third world nations such as China, India and Brazil burst forth onto the international stage as rising economic powerhouses. However, progression is not without its struggle as countries around the world face the struggles global recession, attacks from lurking enemies and the threat of dangerous nations possessing nuclear capability. Yet the international community continues to work together in hopes of resolving these issues while still entangled in a complex web of checks and balances of power.
