Over my dead body! Nah, I'm just kidding about that. Seriously, we're better off as separate countries! You know how you get along with someone really well, decide to live together and then find out that they do all these little things that really piss you off? I don't wanna know if Alex has any weird quirks that piss me off, and I don't think he wants to know if there's anything I do that'd piss him off. And then there's the risk of one of us disappearing. Scary stuff.
And there's no guarantee our people would like being one nation either. Mine might go for a War of Independence or something! There's just too many variables involved with the idea of combining nations so we're better off the way we are.
