The mystery of the unconscious mind is great. It can do great things, it can create great things. In the world of the World of the Unknown, the things that the mind can create have manifested themselves.
The Unknown is divided into two states; the State of the Dream and the State of the Nightmare. For as long as any of their inhabitants can remember, the two states have been at war with one another, vying for complete control of The Unknown. Battles are vicious. And neither of the states has shown a significant upper hand over the other. They seem to be an even match. Fated for endless conflict. . .
Certain creatures are indigenous to their state, and some can be found in both. However, most creatures tend to stay loyal to the state they were created in. . . However, all's fair in love and war, and there's not much stopping a Dream creature to have a nightmare, or a Nightmare creature to have a dream.
In a world like this, it's hard to predict what could happen. The imagination is the limit.
