Eye color --- Crystal Blue
Hair color --- Platinum Blond
Height --- 5'7"
Weight --- 139 lbs
Skin tone --- Pale ;; Not Albino but close
___________
Defining features ---
His trademark stoic face, unfadeable at most times.
The disconnected curl of hair floating beside his head, occasionally on the left side or trailing close behind. Don't question it; he will ignore you. Don't touch it; you may get smacked.
There is somewhat of an aura around him at times. If you actually can see what most choose to ignore, you would probably catch sight of Birger, a green-clothed faerie that is almost always around the man, and Einar, a very large, green troll that can evaporate at will on occasion.
___________
Additional features ---
The man has a very small frame, close to being able to confuse others of his sex. {Given your image of a woman is extremely flat-chested} It would be wise to keep whatever guess you may have to yourself, however.
Nikolai's favourite colour is blue. This mainly influences his wardrobe, seeing as how it's the colour he often wears. His clothing choice is usually rather bulky considering where he hails from but the man is not a fan of cold weather. Whenever free time occurs, the Norwegian will most likely slip away and go to the southern European beaches, usually in Italy or Greece. This is partially the reason why about half of his wardrobe is made up of summer clothing.
Always expect there to be a stuffed rabbit somewhere on his person.

Personality ---
Nikolai is a very hard person to get close to so it's seemingly impossible for anyone to get to know him past the stoic mask he wears.
He is extremely shy around strangers, a trait that resulted from separating ties with others early on in his lifetime. The blond, although he travels a lot, either is extremely anti-social or sticks close to the other Nordics, who are some of the only people the man can stand. This includes the over-excited Dane, who he claims is annoying. Even with the usual attitude, Nikolai prefers to have an idiot like him around to keep others away than be alone and vulnerable, not that he would ever admit it.
Around the few he's able to call his 'brothers,' the blond tends to be a bit more loosened up compared to when he's at meetings or other public gatherings. Even though they share no blood relation, save for Ísland, they've been around long enough to be better family than any who've sheltered him in the past.
Although, despite his particular appearance compared to others, his interests are actually fairly normal. Like just about any Norwegian, he loves nature. Not just a certain view or just a random aspect, the whole deal. Seeing how much he traveled, it's not wonder why, either. As for his tastes in food, Nikolai prefers plain and simple food, he's not one to say no to an exotic meal; given it's cheap or free, of course. He's not skinflint but money is still money. The only thing he would really spend hard earned cash on is desserts. Yes, the Nordic has a sweet tooth. This is actually the only reason he'd even set foot in France, since that their pastries are his favourite. Another odd love of his is for cute objects. It definitely wouldn't help his image, though, so Nikolai tends to keep that a secret.
His disinterests are rather typical as well, at least, for those with a personality to share. The man dislikes people who can't tell the difference between the appropriate volume for indoors and outdoors. This is on a complete hypocritical stand point since Nikolai speaks very quietly no matter where he is. The Nordic likes to actually listen to others, just not to the point of where he feels like his eardrums are going to burst. The ones with annoying personalities also fit into that category. There is also this odd dislike of his to even show the simplest form of emotion on his face. "It only shows weakness" is how it would be put in his own words. That is mainly the reason why most people only see his more stoic side.
With his past playing a key part in this, there are a few strengths that managed to stick to the man even after all the centuries that have passed; his upperbody strength and speed being the most well-nursed to this day. There is that Dane who does everything in his power to annoy the living hell out of his 'best friend' and the man tries his best to draw a line by inflicting pain onto the other. It's too bad Danmark is just too thick headed to process any of it. There is also his little talent of 'cursing' people. He does not necessarily cast a spell onto them but a bit of muttering in a dead language would be enough to send anyone running. This comes in handy mostly when he's forced to mingle with nations he is none to comfortable around. Another talent to come in handy in those situations would be the ability to tune others out. It keeps his IQ from slowly dropping, at least.
Unfortunately, there is a little issue, only chiming in with his volume that although keeps others away, it also plays an issue to when he is actually trying to be sincere. It's his problem with a tone of sarcasm going along with no matter what he says. Some people have learned to ignore it or just don't notice it at all but Nikolai has learned to just keep quiet at times rather than rub salt into the wound of one he really doesn't want to hurt. It does come in handy with criticism, however. It's always been a knack of his to call people out on their faults when he actually wants to sound hurtful. Just don't expect his creativeness to give way to anything that deserves criticism. Although he has the ideas, working with his hands was never his thing other than playing the violin. No other instrument, either. If anything, he can maybe fold together a few bits of origami but even that frustrates him.
___________
Likes ---
‹Reading
A small hobby of the Norwegian. He prefers to read when either completely alone without distractions or whenever he wants to ignore what's going on during a conference or meeting. Nothing usually pertains to him anyway so why listen to idiotic ideas about blocking the sun with a gigantic superhero? His favourite genres are fairy tales and mysteries.
‹Nature
Typical for a Norwegian. One of his favourite places to be is just sitting around in the grass at times watching either the sky or scenery depending on where he is.
‹Animals
Nikolai loves to see different types of animals around his homeland and occasionally leaves food out for the species around his home before he leaves for extended trips. His favourite animal is the rabbit.
‹The Sea
A love that has been with him since his days as an infant nation. It's the feel of the air against his face that brings back a feel of nostalgia from the Viking Age before there were much more horrible things to worry about.
‹Music
Something that tends to calm the man down when pushed into a bad mood. He can listen to just about any form of music but pure instrumental compositions are his favourite.
‹The Colour Blue
The colour he can be found wearing almost anytime you were to see the blond. Just about his entire wardrobe is coated in the shade.
‹Birger and Einar
Two of his companions that can be found near him at just about any time. Birger, a small, green, chubby fairy, and Einar, an extremely large troll which tends to apperate from here to there, have been around Nikolai for as long as he can remember and are apart of the few things that haven't annoyed the Norwegian at some point.
‹Sweets
Not something a lot of people expect from Nikolai. It is in fact true that the man has an enormous sweet tooth and prefers to eat pastries rather than an actual meal at times. It's amazing that he's still so skinny once you see all the sugar he takes in.
‹Cute Things
Everyone has a guilty pleasure.
___________
Dislikes ---
‹Loud People
People he has to put up with on most occasions, like a specific Dane or other Europeans that tend to bother the Nordic whenever they see fit.
‹Strangers
Nikolai is horribly shy, even though it doesn't show on his face, and he will do almost all in his power to avoid someone he's uncomfortable with.
‹World Summits
A combination of the two above. It like he can feel his IQ slowly dropping every time that idiot American blathers on a new idea or someone else cares to contribute their own idiocy. Somehow a fight always manages to break out {wonder why} and the Norwegian slips away almost instantly.
‹Showing Emotion
It is unavoidable at times, which would lead to inner cursing, but showing emotion is something the Norwegian tends to shun if at all possible. It only shows weakness, in his mind, and that is not safe around the people he spends his time with.
‹Careless Destruction of Nature
Despite his own past, Nikolai has never condoned of anything requiring to destroy a gift of Mother Nature. Man-made structures never bothered him, though.
‹Hunting
A bit of a hypocrite when it comes to this. He isn't a vegetarian, he fishes, he's even done it back in his viking days, but Nikolai would never do it himself in this day and age. Or at least not if it was a cute animal.
___________
Fears ---
‹Death
Nikolai is fully aware now that it is not so easy for a nation to die but many years ago, it was believed he could die just as easy as a human could.
‹Losing the only people he's comfortable with
He may not act like he cares too much for his 'family' but they are some of the only people he is truly comfortable with being around.
‹Another horrible disease spreading again
The black plague is a haunting memory for him, the main reason the fear of death has stuck for so long.
‹Strangers {again}
Never underestimate just how anti-social he can be.
___________
Lesser known facts ---
‹Plays the violin
It's more of a small hobby if anything but the man has played for a short while and can even place a few compositions by heart.
‹Has an enormous collection of stuffed pink rabbits
If you were to arrive at his home, don't shrug off the possibility you may trip over a few of them or even have to move a few to find a place to sit. It really depends on what room the Nordic was in before the guest had arrived because the collection tends to move where ever he goes.
‹Doesn't hate Danmark as much as he acts like he does
It's not like he'd tell him, though. The Dane is still horribly annoying but if anything, it may not be a completely one-sided friendship.
‹Self-conscious
Just look at him. That is not the face of someone who does not care about his skin and simply wakes up and goes. No. There is, in fact, a daily cleansing ritual for his own upkeep.
‹Extremely Shy
If you haven't gotten that by now. Usually, most of the other nations just assume he's anti-social but never that he's just too shy to converse.
___________
Goals ---
‹Keep out of the EU
Nikolai just became his own nation. Now why would he go right back into a union?
‹Get Sverige and Dan to stop mauling each other on a daily basis
For as long as the three have known each other, this goal has been a work in progress for just as long.
‹Get Dan to understand that tackling him is not a proper greeting
The Norwegian is fast enough to dodge the other and even is able to predict when he's going to pop out of nowhere but still, it's a horrible nuisance to just evade the Dane constantly.

___________
Detailed
‹ The man's earliest memory is of the Kingdom of Hordaland. Now, in the current ages, he assumes that was when he was ... born or ... however nations came to be. He's never really met anyone who was sure. It was just ... all of a sudden they were there.
‹ In the mid-7th century, he had adopted the human name Alrek Eiriksson. It was well after the ruler had died and it was the only name he'd felt like he wanted. It was getting tiring to go home to home without a name. The infant was taken into care every so often because many people were convinced his parents were killed or simply abandoned the boy. This was surely the most sociable time of his life. It was unfortunate that because of his kind, he did not age or die like humans. This meant every so often, the boy would have to move from home to home, kingdom to kingdom simply to not be left out in the freezing climate of the north. There were times he would be left out, however, and those were the times he'd disappear in the woods for days on end, living with the sprites and other mythical creatures who pitied him just as well as the humans did.
‹ In the 8th century, the young nation picked up the name Sigurd, dropping the surname altogether. He'd liked the name better than the last and had finally gotten sick of pretending like there was a family for him at some point so the surname was dropped altogether.
‹ The Viking Age began and the man soon became nameless, not wanting familiarity with the new people he'd affiliated himself with. He'd finally gotten sick of having a family, time passes, they die, and beginning the cycle again. The sea began to call for him and the only friends he still had in the forest urged the growing nation to take on new areas and escape the thought of death. The ship he'd joined soon made him regret taking the advice, however. The Nordic had learned to be a bit kinder to other people but that soon disappeared with these folk. If anything, being on that ship taught him to never show weakness to anyone.
At first, the blond suffered sexual harassment to the point of having to prove himself to the men by practically flipping the previous leader off the boat and taking over himself. This was a harsh time in his life and even caused a cynical outlook on life. It trained him to at least be intimidating despite his size at the time and even be able to 'read people' to the point of predicting the other's movements before they happen.
‹ The Norwegian met both Dan and Sverige in these times. The Dane annoyed the Nordic to a high degree but Sve was ... pleasant to be around ... if you can even call it that. It was quiet time so that was good enough for him. Later on, Ice was also found as well. He was still an infant nation so as a sense of pity and even seeing himself in the other, the blond took care of the 'newborn'.
‹ Places the man had went along with raids to:
-England
-Scotland
-Iceland
-Greenland
-Germanic Areas
-France
-Spain
-Portugal
-Vinland {Present Day North America}
The Norwegian did not join in on the settlements taken to Eastern Europe or go far into Roman territory east of France.
‹ In the Middle Ages, the man finally got back to land and returned to visiting the forest regularly. At this point, his hair was down at least to the waist and it was a nuisance to take care of anymore. The ends were horribly damaged due to spending such a long time on the salty sea so in frustration, the young man ended up cutting almost all of it off with his old dagger. It was a bit awful at first but another new comer to the family helped him cut it down a bit cleaner and so it didn't look like a female's bob cut.
‹ The Black Death. One of the worst times in European history, not giving mercy to the north in the slightest. This managed to take the nameless Nordic by shock when he suddenly became ill as well. Not yet had he discovered that if his country suffered, he would as well. In his mind, he'd thought the plague had spread to him as well. The blond was weak for an extremely long time and was thrown around a lot with out the power to do anything.
‹ The Kalmar Union is just as much taboo as the plague is. This was much more of a worse time between Sverige and Danmark but the others were still caught between.
It began with the marriage of Queen Margaret I of Denmark and King Haakon VI of Norway and Sweden, continued on after the birth of their son Olav. The three kingdoms were kept as a union even following to the crowning of Eric of Pomerania. During the entire union, all the Nordics lived under the same roof, Nikolai secluding himself to his room most of the time in fear of getting the others sick.
Norge had become his name at this point. It became so in a habit that no one had anything to call him either way. This time was horrible on him with the pandemic and somehow it was still jammed into his brain that the plague was still looming over him. He tried his best to keep the others away despite them being hit by the deaths as well. At least at the time, he was treated better by Dan than Sverige was. Once Sve and the Finn had ran away in 1536, Norge could slowly feel himself getting worse with the majority of his population dead.
‹ Unable to fend for himself, Norge was to remain in a union with Danmark. Most of the royal line was dead as well so once again the crown remained out of reach for his own people.
At this time, Norge picked up the name Nikolai, later coining the surname Korsmo. He still preferred to be called Norge by everyone but there was some bit of mentality digging it's way into his mind that if he died now, at least there would be something on his grave.
‹ The Northern Wars was nothing short of a time of just war and preparation. Bits of his eastern land was being taken away and he hated having to rely on that annoying Dane so much.
‹ 1721 to 1770 was a time that Nikolai can actually remember as ... happy. His health was returning to him and despite still not having all his land back from the wars, the Nordic could get up on his own two feet without wanted to fall right back down or get nauseous.
‹ It was soon after he'd gotten back his heath, Norge began to want his freedom as well. Knowledge of the revolutions in America and France aroused the thoughts of himself and his own people and strides were taken to establish a constitution of their own and become a nation without needing the backbone of a union.
‹ The Napoleonic Wars ended and with Dan defeated, he was forced to give up Nikolai to Sverige. There was an attempt to confirm the constitution and free Norge as his own country but in the end, and after war was a threat once again, Nikolai went through another union. It was not too depressive until the man realised the younger brother he cared for was left with the Dane while he'd have to move away.
The union ended peacefully in 1905. Nikolai was finally his own nation without the need to live with anyone else. In the end, however, the cynical views only grew within his mind. He was alone now. He was in his own home ... alone. It wasn't long before the man started to miss being around others and frequently made excuses to get out.
‹ Known as 'The Neutral Ally' during the Great War, Nikolai secluded himself but commonly made visits to England as formalities. He'd grown much more accustomed to the pains caused by harm to the government or people but either way, nothing could compare to the plague. Even the deaths of all the people on sunken ships.
‹ World War 2 began the same as the first with declaring neutrality. Surprise befell the nation however once under Nazi control. The sickness began to return but not just from the government for once. This time the pains were even influenced by his old fear of death rising from the back of his mind, in the end causing the man to cut off all ties and flee his home in Oslo for one farther up North, much farther.
Nikolai spent almost the entire war in hiding and once Nazi Germany was taken care of and the troops were out, he'd finally gotten over the majority of his fears and returned to the light of the world. As a result and a mild paranoia, however, he refused to move back in Oslo and took home in Bergen instead, finding the ocean more soothing than being in the capital.
‹ In current times, life is much more laid back now that Nikolai tends to avoid government issues best he can. It's even gotten to the point where the man will get away as soon as he can and without a leaves notice, escape to southern Europe for a vacation, either going alone or with his brother and a few mythical friends.

Roleplay example ---
You would think one would be sick of the blistering cold, having been born, raised, and lived your whole life with it. Some just get used to it. The man never felt warmth for too long, either way. There was nothing to miss, nothing to adjust to, and if anything, warmth was like a treat you never wanted to spoil by having too often.
Sigurd -- No. Not that name. He'd decided against keeping that name. The kingdoms were falling. It would be just a painful memory of past homes to keep it. He never was a fan of the ruler, anyway. Just his name. For now, the blond would just be ... nameless. That was better. It cut off familiarity and it wasn't like he liked strangers, anyway. Names were a nuisance. A tie between friends. Dead friends. Another painful memory that only made his decision seem more for the better. The young ... 'man' didn't need ties with his new kin, anyway. They were kindhearted people but he's seen what they can do. Sailing for so long can cause something within a man's mind to just snap at times. If any of these men killed another, the one to stand out would have nothing to miss. As a leader, he needed to lack those emotions.
There it was, the breeze. The crisp, brittle, winter air that was like a drug. Not because he liked the feel. It tended to signify the true beauty for the man was nearby, the sea. The sea and the forests were the young man's mistress'. Each held mystery and an air of comfort. The sea was the greater love, however. Why else would he go to the trouble of associating with these killers that were currently underneath him. The pale boy rose to power quickly among the drunkards. A true reason to never judge a book by their frail, tattered cover. One whose lost everything is one to fear more than a man of pure muscle.
Well ... not everything. A ruffle came from underneath the young man's heavy clothing, nothing popping out but just a bit of adjustment. One of the companions that the Nordic could truly trust, a sprite of the water. She tended to hide in the many layers of clothing beneath the cape-like overcoat he wore. It was a shame the beauty only stood around when he was in these parts of the waters.
Taking a moment to look around, the name-less man felt a bit of nostalgia just looking off the side of the longboat with the wind blowing his hair back. Reaching a covered hand upward, he entwined his fingers within the long strands of hair flying a bit behind. It annoyed him to no end when this nest blocked his eyesight, even if there was not much to look at. Parting a gap in his bangs to see out of his left eye, a shadow came into view. Orders were made, having to be repeated by the louder kin due to their leader's quiet nature.
The boat traveled for a bit more time before they reached the shore, unsure of where they were ported but more importantly, there was the shadow that the young man had seen earlier. It was another longboat, be it the design was altered a bit. It was familiar, however.
It appeared empty and the others soon began to board the other and ravish supplies, throwing them down and eventually forming an organized line to get them from the unknown ship back to their own. The silent, shorter man kept watch and eventually wandered off a bit away to say goodbye to the sprite who'd woken up from her nap and needed to return from wherever her home in the sea was. Parting was made and heading back to where he'd left, unusual sounds made way to his spot. A fight? He'd hoped the men would wait to snap until the goods were on the boat. Maybe someone found gold.
Rushing back to smack sense, or possibly fear, into his 'underlings', the young man soon realized the fight was not within the crew, it was with the newly arrived folk who'd apparently owned the ship they were robbing. Of course vikings wouldn't sit on the sidelines and watch their wares be stolen.
Unlike his usual demeanor, the leader shouted and pulled a dagger from who knows where within the layers of clothing he had on. A member from the other's crew soon tried to swing his sword in the nameless man's direction and soon regretted doing so. The fight died down once all eyes fell on the blond, bushed haired man now with a much taller man pinned to the ground with a knife held to his throat. He could never kill another living thing on purpose but no one knew of that little tidbit so why not take advantage of their lack of knowledge?
"The leader will stand forth or this man loses his head." His voice was audible, still spoke in somewhat of a forced, quiet tone but with a sense of power. A man with a rather large axe made his presence known with a roar of a laugh which instantly gave the Nordic a growing headache.
"This one's got spunk!"
A scowl formed. He assumed this was their leader.
"That was fun, eh? Why don't cha let 'im go and we'll let it be?"
Hm. Must have been important. Haunting blue eyes gazed down and ... oh. It looks like the man passed out. He wasn't choking him that much.
Standing up, the frail-looking arms retreated to their shelter within the cowl and returned the dagger from where it came. A glare formed and the bottom half of his face nestled inward to feel a bit of relief from the numbing cold to the feel of fur. Each crew begrudgingly returned to the ships, the Norwegians of the mass actually bothering to help their wounded up.
The nameless man looked back after all his men were in the boat and met the eyes of the other leader. Eyebrows furrowed, or at least the one visible of the pair, and his head shifted back to getting himself up. Nothing more than an idiot who lost his chance for kill.
Too bad this man would later become the bane of his existence.
