We are a historical Hetalia board that seeks to play out historical events in a manner that is more true to the actual events than what is canon, though the original characterization is encouraged. We seek to create a friendly, drama-free environment for people to play and generally look for mature players who are looking for a long term commitment. Feel free to take around the forum! If you are still interested, please go to the start up guide to get started!
Micky likes walks on the beach, romantic dinners & frolicking through carnations paella, fϊtbol, & guitar. She likes to meet people, have conversations & have a laugh. She's open to random chit-chat & is willing to listen if someone has questions or issues.
Gearr's too lazy to write her own stuff. She's dopey, snarky & a troll on the outside. Really a marshmallow inside (perfect for s'mores). This is pretty much the forum's worst kept secret. Despite this, she's happy to help with any concerns & questions.

Ancient History (Prior 400 CE) When remembering antiquity, many recalled the birth of democracy in the city-state of Athens, the trading genius of the Carthaginians and the military prowess of the gallant Roman Empire. Others remembered the settlement of the Indus river valley while others recognized this time as the rise of the ethereal Middle Kingdom now known as China. In a world lit only by fire, civilizations flourished as man pursued the love of wisdom, seeking to understand themselves and the world around them. However, these times were not peaceful as ambitious leaders sought to expand their territory and conquered other civilizations.
Middle Ages (400 CE 1599 CE) The world fell into a period of darkness as the ancient civilizations collapsed over time, leaving people to turn to the complex system created by feudalism. During this time, people looked to Christianity for hope, constructing cathedrals, decorated with dreaming spires and luminous stain glass windows, fitting to be Houses of God. Intellects attempted to reconcile the gap between faith and reason while Christians fought vigorously to drive out Muslim invaders. At the same time, trading between the East and the West flourished as Europeans traveled to the Orient, which was dominated by the Khans. Though it appeared to be a step back, the discovery of the New World laid the groundwork for the rise of future empires.
17th century (1600 CE 1699 CE) If last century was known as the Age of Exploration, this would be known as the Age of Enlightenment, as great minds such as Newton, Galileo, Dιscartes, Hooke, and van Leeuwenhoek made several scientific breakthroughs. However, this is not to say that the period was not without its share of conflict and problems. While the Ming Dynasty collapsed under the pressure of the Manchus and Europeans colonized the New World, Europe found itself caught in a Thirty Years War and threw all major powers in Europe into a period of constant warfare. With the rise of empires during this time, the idea of absolutism established by King Louis XIV of France held onto authority of the state with an iron fist justified by divine right.
18th century (1700 CE 1799 CE) During the time of gallant, brilliantly colored uniforms and orderly warfare, Europe found itself caught in a series of succession wars as Spain, Austria and Poland all found themselves without a direct heir. Warfare engulfs not only the Old Continent, but draws the Americas into their fights. The Enlightenment continued to progress intellectual thought, though soon gave rise to revolutions in the end of the period, some in which the effects would be felt for the next century. The Manchus establish rule in China, but soon found rebellions and continuous warfare, paired with famine and overpopulation, an ever-pressing issue.
19th century (1800 CE 1899 CE) The development of the Romantic idea known as nationalism encouraged man to look at themselves not merely as subjects of kings, but as people united under one national culture. Though it succeeded in uniting people, it often led to revolutions as people sought independence from the Spanish Empire, Portuguese Empire, Chinese Empire, Holy Roman Empire and Mughal Empire. On the other hand, Imperialism pressed England, Germany and the United States to expand their borders and the carving of Asia amongst western powers. At the same time, the gears of the Industrial Revolution propelled countries into automated production as technological advances improved the quality of life in some aspects.
20th century (1900 CE 1999 CE) In the wake of the Industrial Revolution and the decline of the age of empires, the world found itself in a delicate balance of power. During this period, nations were so thoroughly bound to each other that a single tip of the scale launched most of the world into war, while an economic depression in one part of the world threw the entire world an economic crisis. This was a time when strong ideologies drove countries to go at war with each other, whether it was to demonstrate the racial superiority or to champion freedom. The world tried to form an international forum for peace as the struggle between Capitalism with Communism in an undeclared worldwide war continued on until the collapse of the Soviet Union, leaving only one hegemony standing on the world stage.
21st century (2000 CE Present) Leaving behind all that happened in the last century, many look towards the future with an optimistic hope that man can only continue to advance as a civilization. Third world nations such as China, India and Brazil burst forth onto the international stage as rising economic powerhouses. However, progression is not without its struggle as countries around the world face the struggles global recession, attacks from lurking enemies and the threat of dangerous nations possessing nuclear capability. Yet the international community continues to work together in hopes of resolving these issues while still entangled in a complex web of checks and balances of power.
Alternative History While many people say that history can be interpreted many different ways, some of us cant help but wonder what would had happened if something did not go the way it did in history. For example, what would have happened if Napoleon did not invade Russia? What if the British gave the Americans representation in Parliament? Would things still end up the way it did? Well, as an alternative to our main boards, we encourage you all to play with these possibilities!
Alternative Universes This is for anything that isn't really linked into the general forum setting. This can pretty much extend to anything from AUs to... well... any scenario you can think of (as long as it would not happen in canon)!
Affiliates If you have an affiliation request then post here. Before you do be sure to read the terms on doing such. Failure to do so will either result in your button not being added, or being removed... No one wants that~!
