WELL. YEP. My finals are over and I think I'm free enough to go into new threads derpderp.

Since this is America here there's basically very little I'm not involved in as the years pass by XD

BUT YES. My little thread here has some ideas /too lazy to list them derp
But obviously that's not all that I would be willing to do~

Most of our history involves England well no shit, France, and Canada in some form of way, so there's a lot of things that could be done there, even in a group. I always end up in a thread with Gearr anyway so it is inevitable

SO GUYS, just post here some ideas and whatnot XD AND WE CAN BOND PLOT over them ♥

- Okay so to be frank there's a lot we could do here even without France, I think you said you wanted to do something with Little Meri and Kana with Meri being an attention whore? I know Maple and I talked about this a while back so... I'd be up for that.

Troop training etc until we have France (ordowehaveone?)... Unless we could somehow work on the POW thing?

Hmmmmm.... Tempting tempting. I'd be happy to both, but if I had to pick I'd do the letter based one *this time... strictly that LOL* if only to do something on a different topic, although I'd want to do a continuation of that other thread eventually as well.

I recently learned that the reason why the UK pulled out of the Confederate cause was because the Battle of Gettysburg proved to them that "DAMN THOSE SOUTHERN STATES SURE SEEM UNSTABLE" and they became more pro-Union. So I was thinking like, probably a more "not-as-angry" interaction around the time after?

America and NZ go back a good 170 years or more, so there's definitely some history there. Trouble is some of the 20th Century stuff (e.g. the signing of ANZUS) involves Australia and we don't have one yet. D:

Some ideas:

1838: Appointment of the 1st US Consul to NZ
- This is a first meeting, basically. It's in the window of time between NZ being recognised as a nation and becoming one of England's colonies.

1943: The Battle of Manners Street
- This stemmed from American soldiers refusing to let Maori soldiers into a pub for all soldiers, and escalated into a riot.

1984-1985: The Breaking of ANZUS
- After refusing to let US Navy vessels into NZ's sea territory because they wouldn't declare if they had nuclear material onboard, the NZ <-> US side of the ANZUS pact broke down. The AUS <-> NZ and AUS <-> US part of it remained intact.

2010: Signing of the Wellington Declaration
- This is when the ANZUS fallout was finally put behind them, and relations between NZ and America started getting back to where they used to be.
